Held annually in the local Faskally Wood, the Enchanted Forest is a place where nature and artistry intertwine. Now in its second decade, this renowned sound and light show is an immersive experience for all those who visit.

a symphony of light and nature

Every autumn, as the sun begins to set earlier and the chill of the season creeps into the air, Faskally Wood undergoes a stunning transformation. The Enchanted Forest comes alive with a symphony of lights, colors, and sounds that weave together to create a mesmerizing tapestry of sights and sensations. The towering trees, usually hidden in darkness, become canvases for a brilliant display of light installations, projecting vibrant hues and intricate patterns onto their bark.

Visitors to the Enchanted Forest will wander along illuminated paths that wind through the woods. Each twist and turn reveals a new spectacle, offering a sense of escapism from the mundane and an invitation to embrace the extraordinary.

immersive artistry

What truly sets the Enchanted Forest apart is its seamless fusion of artistry with the natural world. The light installations, sculptures, and performances are carefully curated to complement the forest's existing beauty. Rather than overpowering the environment, these creations harmonize with it, creating a sensory experience that is both captivating and respectful of the surroundings.

community and celebration

Beyond the visual and auditory spectacles, the Enchanted Forest is also a celebration of community and creativity. Local artists, designers, and performers often contribute their talents to the event, infusing it with a genuine sense of authenticity and connection to the area's culture. Additionally, the event draws visitors from all walks of life, creating a shared experience that fosters a sense of unity and wonder.

tips for an enchanting visit

If you're considering a trip to the Enchanted Forest, here are a few tips to make the most of your experience:

  • Plan Ahead: The Enchanted Forest is a popular event, so it's a good idea to book your tickets in advance. They sell out quickly! Check the event's official website for details on dates and ticket availability.

  • Dress Appropriately: Remember that you'll be walking through a forest at night, so wear comfortable shoes and dress warmly. The Scottish weather can be unpredictable at best, so be prepared for chilly temperatures and potential rain!

  • Capture Memories: Don't forget your camera or smartphone to capture your experience.

  • Respect Nature: Whilst enjoying the event, remember to be respectful of the environment. Stick to designated paths and follow any guidelines to help preserve the beauty of Faskally Wood for future generations.

The Enchanted Forest offers a rare opportunity to step into a world of imagination and sensory delight. With its harmonious blend of art, nature, and community, it's a place where the boundaries between reality and enchantment blur, leaving visitors with memories that will continue to shine long after the lights have dimmed.
